I got to spend an amazing weekend with one of my sisters, Keri, while in London. We went to this place called caravan for brunch and I ordered the Pumpkin Waffle. Can you believe I actually ate that? Neither could I. What’s even crazier is that I really enjoyed it. This picky eater has been introduced to some interesting food combinations since coming to the UK. Keri and I even discussed the fact that they put corn on their veggie pizzas here. What is that about? Corn? Really?! And yet it works.
After brunch with Keri and her friends we wandered over to the British Library to check out the Treasures of the British Library. That place is so amazing! It still hasn’t gotten old being able to go in and see the manuscripts they have and some of the books on display just blow me away. I never thought I’d have the opportunity to see an actual William Tyndale Bible and now I have.
Then it was almost time for my appointment at Skunx Tattoo so we headed over to Chapel Market to browse around until 3 PM. I am so happy I managed to get an appointment there during my stay in London. I am really happy with the work that my artist, Julia Seizure, did and I love my tattoo. I’m still a little stunned that I actually went through with it. I was on the fence about it for so long but now I know that this was the best decision I could make.
The quote is from Jane Eyre which happens to be my favorite book. I liked the idea of getting the tattoo in the UK because the quote comes from a famous British author.
